I stayed at a hotel that recently went through renovations and the rooms looked really nice. I loved the pool and the size of the room. The location was fantastic, right in the heart of the city with plenty of activities to do nearby.
The smell from the renovations was quite strong and gave me a headache. It was four weeks after the renovations and the smell was still lingering.
